One way to avoid needless interruptions is to establish a specific time for your employees to ask questions and bring you updates. But what time should that be? Try late morning or early afternoon. Here’s why:

• Late morning.
You’ve had a chance to get a start on the day’s work, and you have some idea of how your afternoon will go.

• Early afternoon. You’ve still got time to discuss and deal with questions or problems before the rush at the end of the day.
